Job DescriptionOur client, Triple T Cafe & Restaurant, is seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join their front-of-house team in Winnellie, Northern Territory. The successful applicant will have strong coffee-making experience, including operating commercial espresso machines and producing consistent, high-quality coffee under pressure. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude are essential, as the role involves regular guest interaction.
In addition to preparing coffee, the Barista will ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer experience. They serve a diverse customer base and offer an diverse menu, barista coffee, and unique dining experiences that blend classic hospitality with modern service standards. As a growing establishment, they are committed to creating a welcoming space for guests and employees. The annual salary for the position is $73,150 to $75,000.
Tasks include:
- Prepare, present, and serve various beverages, including espresso-based coffee drinks such as lattes and cappuccinos.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in bar and coffee preparation areas, including regularly cleaning coffee machines and service counters.
- Handle customer transactions, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, and processing various forms of payment.
- Promote cafe and bar offerings by recommending beverages and upselling additional products.
- Clean and polish glassware and ensure bottles and glasses are properly arranged and stocked.
- Install and manage kegs, including connecting beer lines and monitoring flow.
- Restock refrigerators, drink stations, and shelves to ensure supplies are readily available during service.
- Serve and sell light food items and snacks alongside beverages.
- Grinding coffee beans to the appropriate texture for various brewing methods.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory checks to ensure timely ordering of beverages and bar supplies.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II and one (1) year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience or hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III with at least one (1) year of relevant post-qualification work experience (minimum 20 hours per week).
- Should have at least two (2) years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience.
