The Role
As CFO, you’ll be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for managing all aspects of the financial function, including budgeting, forecasting, compliance, reporting, and strategic planning. You’ll play a critical role in supporting business growth, enhancing profitability, and driving operational efficiency. We welcome applications from experienced CFOs and also from high-performing Senior Financial Controllers who are ready to step into their first CFO role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations, including reporting, cash flow management, risk, and compliance.
- Provide commercial and strategic financial insights to support executive and board-level decision-making.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across multiple business units.
- Manage and develop a small finance team and oversee relationships with external advisors.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in systems, processes, and controls.
- Contribute to strategic planning, business case development, and investment decisions.
About You
- Proven experience as a CFO or Senior Financial Controller with a strong background in construction, plumbing, engineering, or similar service-based industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at the executive and board level.
- CA/CPA qualified with deep knowledge of financial management, compliance, and risk.
- Hands-on, solutions-focused leadership style with a desire to improve systems and drive change.
- Confident communicator who builds trust and credibility across all levels of a business.
