About the role
Sublime Care is seeking multiple enthusiastic Behaviour Support Practitioners to join our dedicated team in Newcastle, Maitland, Central Coast and The Hunter areas in NSW. As a BSP, you will play a vital role in assessing and intervening in challenging behaviours, developing and implementing personalized plans to enhance quality of life and reduce negative behaviours, often working with individuals with disabilities or mental health needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand the reasons behind challenging behaviours and implementing strategies that promote positive behaviour change.

  • Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to address a range of difficulties

  • Delivering evidence-based therapy sessions to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and coordinated care

  • Providing education and support to clients, families, and caregivers

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed client records, and contributing to the ongoing development of our speech therapy services

What we're looking for

  • An undergraduate degree in psychology, education, arts or social science

  • Eligibility for registration with a BSP number with the NDIS

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a BSP, preferably in a clinical or community-based setting

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues

  • Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills

  • A commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

  • A positive, empathetic, and compassionate approach to care
