We currently have an opportunity for a Venue and Recreation Officer to join our dynamic and busy Community and Culture team.
The Venue and Recreation Officer plays a pivotal role in maximising the utilisation and community enjoyment of Council's diverse hireable Venues, Parks, Sports Fields, and Sporting and Entertainment Facilities. This position serves as a primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and the public, facilitating seamless event bookings and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.
By proactively engaging with enquiries, cultivating strong relationships, and coordinating efficient operations, the Venue and Recreation Officer contributes to the successful delivery of events and bookings, and the ongoing maintenance and promotion of the Council's recreational assets.
This role also supports the effective administration and communication related to venue bookings, facility maintenance, and event programming, ultimately enhancing community access to and satisfaction with the Council's recreational offerings. The Venue and Recreation Officer collaborates closely with a variety of Council teams to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of services across multiple departments and projects.
What We Offer
- Permanent, Full-Time, 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $68,136.17 - $78,941.39 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation (dependant on skills and experience)

What We're Looking for
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills including written, verbal and face to face channels
- Experience in providing customer-focused services to sporting organisations, community groups, schools, event organisers, and stakeholders across various venues, sports fields, and recreational locations, with a deep knowledge and understanding of their specific requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads and multiple deadlines
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office software, spreadsheets, databases, and venue booking software
- Understanding and demonstrated commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Risk Management
- Flexibility to work outside business hours as required
