We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Inventory controller to support the day to day operations of a global transport company.
The ideal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude and prove experience in a similar role within the Transport and Logistics industry.
Accountabilities:
- Racking inventory: Monitoring incoming and outgoing goods, both physically and through records.
- Overseeing stock storage: Ensuring proper storage conditions and organization within warehouses or distribution centres.
- Data recording: Accurately recording inventory data in company systems.
- Discrepancy resolution: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Logistics management: Coordinating with freight companies for shipments and deliveries.
- Stock taking: Participating in regular stock counts and audits.
- System implementation: Developing and implementing new inventory control systems and processes.
- Staff training: Training warehouse staff on new procedures and policies related to inventory control.
Experience and Qualifications
- Sound experience with WMS systems in an RF environment
- Sound experience within the Logistics industry, preferably in a 3PL environment with focus on Inventory management functions
- Advanced MS Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to meet the roles responsibilities with minimal supervision
