Experienced Earthmoving Plant Operations Foreman (hands-on role)

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a critical role in providing leadership to the team, alongside the hands-on element of operating heavy machinery such as excavators, bobcats, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and dump trucks. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate completion of earthmoving tasks across a variety of construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain earthmoving machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage material handling, grading, and site preparation tasks efficiently.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Earthmoving Plant Operator, with experience in leading a team.
  • Ability to read and execute site plans
  • Drivers Licence – HR or HC
  • Construction White Card
  • Relevant licenses/certifications, e.g., Heavy Equipment Operator Licence.
  • Strong understanding of operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

A competitive salary, with the use of a company vehicle will be negotiated with the right candidate.
