Description:
We require CDP for a hotel in Sydney.As Chef, you will be responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality meals while ensuring kitchen operations run smoothly. You will bring creativity, leadership, and a strong sense of teamwork to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals in line with our menu and daily specials
- Oversee kitchen operations and coordinate with FOH for smooth service delivery
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage food costs effectively
- Assist in menu development and implementation of new dishes
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff where required
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience working as a Chef in a busy pub, bistro, or hotel kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and hygiene standards
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work efficiently under pressure
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to work a flexible roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
