Located on Hobart's famous Docks, Mures has a passion for sustainable fishing and providing an exceptional Tasmanian “hook to plate” seafood experience.
Mures Lower Deck is a fast-paced, high volume Seafood Bistro and Cafe open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We are currently seeking a Head Chef with extensive experience in a similar environment.
Under the guidance of the General Manager, and leading a strong multi-skilled team; the Lower Deck Head Chef will drive the culinary team to ensure the highest standards of food quality & presentation and the seamless operation of the Lower Deck Kitchen at all times.

The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing and driving success in all areas of accountability, including but not limited to.
- Ensuring excellence in food quality and fast service at all times
- Ensuring product availability through clear planning and communication
- Staff training and development to create a multi-skilled culinary team
- Stock ordering and management,
- Rostering and delivering labour costs to budget,
- Overseeing all Food Safety requirements
Previous experience with Seafood is advantageous but experience in a similar role or venue with high volume, fast service is essential.
Salary is negotiable reflective of demonstrated skills and past experience.
