The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Injury Management Coordinator to manage all aspects of return to work and injury management, including fitness for work, early intervention and workers’ compensation claims as well as administering all Pre Employment Medical screening.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and monitor return to work strategies
- Provide timely advice and information to support employees, managers and the site safety department on health and wellbeing matters
- Attend workers compensation file reviews with insurers, claims agents and regulators
- Effectively and efficiently manage a caseload of injury management cases
- Develop, implement and monitor health and hygiene programs/intaives across the business
- Review pre-employment medicals
- Maintain return to work statistics to assist with internal reporting
- Maintain an understanding of and compliance with workers compensation legislation and other relevant state legislation
Skills and experience required for this role:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health science or an allied health profession highly desirable
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certificate desirable
- Certificate IV in Work Health Safety and/or Training & Assessment desirable
- Previous experience in an injury management/workers compensation-based role essential
- Relevant case management experience in an injury management and/or return to work role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Broad knowledge of workers compensation and return-to-work principles
