Community Hubs and Outreach Support OfficerCasual positions available
Band 5 salary range from $37.88 - $43.61 per hour plus statutory superannuation
City of Ballarat is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to work as part of the Libraries and Lifelong Learning team to provide high quality, efficient and friendly customer service, information and learning services that meet the diverse needs of the community.
This position works with the Team Leader Community Hubs and Outreach undertaking daily operations and activation of Community Hubs and the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the provision of high quality customer service.
Key Selection Criteria:
Qualifications and Experience:
Tertiary qualification in community development, social sciences, learning and education, or significant relevant experience.
Considerable experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office applications and internet technology.
Demonstrated skills and aptitude developed in a customer service environment.
Working with children check.
Selection Criteria:
Qualifications and experience as listed above.
Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values.
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a range of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.
Experience in activating local communities and community centres or hubs using community development principles.
Ability to identify and initiate new opportunities and be innovative in developing new concepts to improve community and organizational outcomes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes.
