Position: Business Development Manager - Civil Mobile Plant

We are currently experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team.
Location:
This position is based in Mount Gravatt QLD, Australia. However, the role will require frequent travel to various project sites and client meetings across Australia.

Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for our company. You will play a crucial role in driving our growth strategy and expanding our client base in the infrastructure, construction and mining industries . Your primary focus will be on developing relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and promoting our services to meet those needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and research potential clients and projects in the infrastructure industry
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in the industry
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our company and services
- Collaborate with the operations team to develop proposals and bids for new projects
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure profitable and sustainable partnerships
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats
- Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and progress to senior management
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies to support business development efforts
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the infrastructure industry , though we will look at associated industries, such as power, pumping, lift etc.
- Proven track record of successfully securing new business and meeting sales targets
- Strong understanding of the civil mobile plant industry and its key players
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and industry events
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle if required
