Join our Employee Relations team as a Senior Industrial and Employee Relations Advisor today!
About the role:
Reporting to the Manager of Industrial Relations, the Senior Industrial and Employee Relations Advisor will be responsible for the management of various industrial and employee relations issues and providing high quality advice, which result in best practice workforce management and development.
Duties for the role will include:
- Work in collaboration and partnership with Human Resource Business Partners, Directorates and Managers to lead and coordinate employee relations interventions
- Providing timely and accurate advice, recommendations and support regarding the interpretation and application of Government and SA Health workforce policies, determinations, guidelines and State Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Preparing, developing and/or contributing to the drafting and settling of reports, briefs and correspondence in relation to a range of industrial and employee relations matters including employee conduct, consultation, dispute and grievance resolution, general employment matters and legal advices
- Liaising and advocating with relevant stakeholders to promote appropriate best practice industrial and employee relations/workforce management
About you:
- Effective interpersonal, interaction, and perception skills including the ability to build trust and confidence of management, staff and other stakeholders
- Model ethical behaviour and practices consistent with employment principles and practices, employee conduct standards, equal opportunity and compliance of Workplace Health and Safety
- Experience in the provision of high-level employee relations advisory and consultancy services, analytical assessment, and negotiation of sound workforce outcomes
- Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills across a diverse range of settings
- Ability to both write and review others written work resulting in the production of high quality reports, briefs and correspondence
- Experience in the SA Public Sector, in particular Health, would be highly regarded
