About the Role

We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant for our Business Services team, where you’ll have the opportunity to support a diverse range of clients, from innovative start-ups to established large enterprises across various industries.

We’re seeking a proactive, highly motivated team player who thrives on innovation and is dedicated to delivering exceptional client service. In this role, you’ll assist our Partners in providing exceptional accounting services, including tax compliance and client advisory. Your responsibilities will include preparing income tax returns, financial statements, business activity statements (BAS), and instalment activity statements (IAS).

What you will bring to our team

  • Tertiary qualifications – we are open to different disciplines and fields of work experience

  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar role

  • Open to pursuing CA or CPA qualification ​

  • The ability to think critically, challenge assumptions and solve problems

  • Professional presentation with a friendly manner and positive attitude

  • Have a strong client service focus and excellent work ethic

  • Strong IT and computer skills. You will embrace new technology and have the ability to adapt quickly

  • Self-initiative and hunger to learn – we want you to ask questions, to clarify information and be proactive in your learning and advancement at BDO.
