Medacs Healthcare is expanding its team of talented Clinical Coders to support our clients in public and private healthcare institutions across beautiful Queensland. Ideally, we are looking for Clinical Coders who are available for on-site contracts but can look to accommodate remote working options too.
Key Duties of a Clinical Coder:
- Accurately coding patient records using ICD-10-AM, 12th Edition and other relevant classification systems.
- Managing complex casemix coding with precision
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and guidelines.

Key Requirements:
- Clinical Coding qualifications from the Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) or equivalent, or a Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management).
- Sound and updated knowledge of ICD-10-AM 12th Edition.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical science.
- Good analytic and abstracting skills.
- Membership with HIMAA.
- Valid Right to work in Australia
