A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our friendly & supportive Allied Health team that is driven to embed innovative models of care. If you are looking for a new challenge and wanting to enhance your professional skills in this 12-month contract, this is your chance. Job share or split hours may be available upon request.

The Contract: 12 month Fixed Term, Part time, 64.00 hours per fortnight

The Position:

The Grade 2 Outpatient/Community Physiotherapist will be responsible for the delivery of Physiotherapy services that support improved health outcomes for clients as part of an integrated approach to health service delivery. The position offers diversity in clinical practice and the opportunity to build on management and leadership skills. Depending on the preferences of the successful applicant, the position can be based solely in the outpatients/community area, or rotate through other areas including acute and subacute inpatients. The Grade 2 Physiotherapist will be responsible for providing support to Grade 1 staff, Allied Health Assistants and the supervision of students. The position will be based between the Day St, Ross St and Community Campuses.

Key criteria required:

  • A tertiary degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 3 years' clinical experience and extensive clinical knowledge in a hospital and/or community setting with demonstrated clinical skills in any of orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory, musculoskeletal, geriatric or neurological physiotherapy practice
  • An understanding of and commitment to contemporary, goal-directed services delivery models that focus on person centred care
  • Demonstrated skills and experience providing leadership and supervision to other clinicians
