Senior Project Officer - Data Governance
We are looking for someone with experience in health data governance and data management practices. Working within the Australian CDC Establishment Taskforce, this role will support development of the Australian CDC data strategy by supporting development of a data governance framework.
This work involves development of policy and processes for CDC data governance and management throughout the data lifecycle.
Senior Project Officer - Data Development and Standards
We are looking for someone with experience in health information management, data development or standardisation. Working within the Australian CDC Establishment Taskforce, this role will support development of the Australian CDC data strategy by supporting development of an approach to data standardisation and interoperability. This work involves establishing processes for metadata development and for handling clinical terminologies and statistical classifications.
Senior Project Officer - Data Policy
Core to the CDC Establishment program is development of an Australian CDC Data Strategy to guide CDC data use. This position will undertake data policy development activities, guided by the Preliminary Data Strategy which charts a course to establish the Australian CDC as a data-driven organisation by describing priority action over the interim phase of the Australian CDC to harness data as a strategic asset, and to deliver data innovation that supports better health outcomes for all Australians.

Senior Project Officer - Data Governance

• Support establishment and implementation of the Australian Centre for Disease Control's data governance and data management functions, including policy and process development for management of the full data lifecycle for CDC held data.
• Undertake the development, maintenance and periodic review of documents regarding data policy development, program governance, processes, actions and interactions across stakeholders.
• Provide advice, expertise and options on a wide range of professional, technical and administrative matters.
• Track and facilitate defined activities and processes to achieve desired outcome Draft high-quality communications to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement requirements

Senior Project Officer - Data Development and Standards

• Support establishment of the Australian Centre for Disease Control's approach to data standardisation, metadata and ontology development, including use of clinical terminologies and statistical classifications.
• Undertake the development, maintenance and periodic review of documents regarding data policy development, program governance, processes, actions and interactions across stakeholders.
• Undertake a range of research, design, project planning or data development tasks to deliver required outcomes and outputs.
• Provide advice, expertise and options on a wide range of professional, technical and administrative matters.
• Track and facilitate defined activities and processes to achieve desired outcome.
• Draft high-quality communications to support program delivery and stakeholder engagement requirements.

Senior Project Officer - Data Policy

• Undertake strategic planning, coordination and implementation of Australian CDC data strategy and policy.
• Contribute to identification of opportunities to optimise the use of data in the performance of the CDC's functions, with an emphasis on enabling accurate and efficient public health surveillance, preparation, response, prevention and coordination.
• Utilise strong stakeholder engagement skills and will be responsible for working with key internal and external stakeholders to understand, negotiate and resolve complex and/or sensitive issues to support optimal use of data in the CDC.
• Contribute to investigation and assessment of data governance policy and legislation across jurisdictions.
