About the position
The role of Senior Project Accountant is expected to undertake project accounting tasks relating to the Group’s operating segments and act as a business partner to the finance function.
Primary Duties:
They key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare monthly project financial reports with actual and forecast information
- Understand key contract clauses and document risks that may impact the financial performance
- Assist the financial accounting team with the revenue recognition on projects
- Participate in pricing for new project proposals, provide financial input to pricing models and prepare financial summary reports for review.
- Investigate and report variances between actual results against forecasts/budgets for assigned projects/responsibility centers.
About You
To be successful in this role you should be a team player who is detail oriented and willing to meet tight deadlines with strong communication & influencing skills
- Qualified CPA/CA or equivalent qualification.
- Project or contract accounting experience, ideally in Defence or a manufacturing organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
