About the Agency
The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead agency for the Government's policy on sport and active recreation. ORSR is responsible for State Government policy and legislation as it relates to the sector, its key programs, sport and recreation infrastructure and funding programs. ORSR supports sport and recreation organisations, councils and the community through the development of policy, programs and resources, the provision of funding, recreation and sport planning, infrastructure development, elite sport pathways and programs, and the promotion of physical activity.
About the Division - Infrastructure and Planning Division
The Infrastructure and Planning division provides a strategic and integrated approach towards the development and delivery of recreation and sport infrastructure and works to build diversity, strength, capacity and sustainability with industry clients and the community. The division is responsible for a number of the State's key sporting assets, including major sporting venues such as Adelaide Super-Drome and SA Athletics Stadium. It undertakes development planning, construction, project management, facilities management, and recreation trails development and management.

Role Details
The Manager, Venue Operations is responsible for the operational oversight, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination of government owned and managed venues to ensure they are safe, accessible, well-maintained, and support a diverse range of community, high performance, research, education, and commercial activities. The role provides leadership in venues operations, contract and facilities management, event coordination, and customer experience, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Working closely with internal teams (including planning, major projects, asset management, and high-performance), external partners, and the community, the Manager, Venue Operations ensures venues are utilised effectively and sustainably, aligned with organisational and government objectives.
Special Conditions
- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours will be required.
- This role requires a working with children check.
Essential Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a related field.
- Current driver's licence.
