As one of our Payroll Officers, you will work as part of the team that conducts our end-to-end payroll functions to deliver an accurate fortnightly payment run for staff and council members ensuring full reconciliation, and assisting with ad-hoc and end of month payroll duties.

What you will bring?

You'll have a sound knowledge of Australian payroll procedures, regulations, tax legislation and superannuation. This will be coupled with a demonstrated understanding of confidentiality, compliant record keeping practices, attention to detail and accuracy. One of your standout qualities will be the ability to simplify complex payroll information in order to share it with diverse audiences. Ichris HR21 experience highly desirable.

In addition to this you will have:-

  • A relevant Diploma level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years payroll processing experience for 300+ employees
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and related tools.
  • Sound cross-cultural, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

We offer

  • A base salary of $73,987 per annum (negotiable based on experience and relevant position knowledge) plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
    • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2630 without dependents.
    • 5 weeks annual leave , leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
    • Paid Christmas close down;
    • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2961;
