Position Details
Nagle Catholic College has an ongoing position available for a suitably qualified and experienced mental health services person to join a multi-disciplinary support team in providing counselling services to students across three designated year groups. This position is available for an immediate start.
As an integral member of the College’s pastoral care structure, this person focuses on the students within the school environment with the goal of maximising each student’s learning potential, emotional well-being, social development and interpersonal skills.
The person works in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team and the Pastoral Care Team to achieve the best outcomes for students.
Qualifications Required
Counsellor – Minimum Clinical or Certified Practicing Registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PAFCA)Social Worker – Minimum by qualification, be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and hold a qualification from an Australian tertiary institution or qualification from overseas that AASW has recognized as comparable to an AASW approved social work qualificationProvisional Registered Psychologist – Minimum provisionally registered as a psychologist with the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Psychologist – Minimum registered as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Working with Children CardNational Consent Form (Department of Education Screening Document)Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (or willingness to obtain this)Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain this)
