Description:

Monadelphous are seeking a motivated Site Manager to join our PNG operations team, based on-site in Lihir, PNG on a 22:20 FIFO roster.
To be considered for this role, you will have previous experience managing project execution teams and subcontractors as well as the ability to liaise daily with on-site and offsite client representatives. Well-developed communication skills and the ability to prepare correspondence and reports are essential, as is high levels of self-motivation to coordinate the site activities of a team.
Key responsibilities and requirements of the role include:
  • Adaptable and flexible to change depending on client requirements.
  • A customer-centric mindset and strong value of safety.
  • Implementing and managing construction activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, regulations and practices.
  • Planning and scheduling the scope of work for the project.
  • Support the Project Manager with project commercials, budgets/construction metrics, forecasting and change management.
  • Lead from the front in promoting an innovative culture and supporting the ongoing development of our PNG citizen employees.
  • An innovative approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and successful delivery methods.
  • Oversee the planning, organising and mobilisation of all resources of labour, equipment, materials and consumables for site jobs.
  • Manage multiple projects achieving high performance.

What you will bring
  • Tertiary or Trade qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous PNG experience in the mining and, or Oil and Gas sectors.
  • Extensive construction or maintenance background within the resources industry.
  • An innovative approach to continuous improvement and successful delivery methods.
  • Strong understanding in commercials, budgets/construction metrics, estimating, forecasting and change management involving changes to scope, quantities and timeframes.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively prepare correspondence, reports and instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstratable experience in driving high performance teams.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport.
