Fast forward to today, we have over 70+ employees across 5 locations in Australia which provides us the capacity to support projects nationwide.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage our surveying operation in staff development and ensuring high-quality service delivery while driving business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to all employees in WA.
• Conduct recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance reviews for team members.
• Oversee and manage engineering survey projects, including pipelines, roads, bridges, buildings, and feature surveys.
• Ensure that survey procedures, quality control measures, and safety protocols are implemented.
• Manage and coordinate resource planning, scheduling, and staff allocation.
• Act as the key liaison between Estimators, Designers, Project Managers, Site Foremen, and subcontractors.
• Assist with onsite fieldwork when required to meet project demands.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities, including quoting and tendering for projects.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Proven experience in surveying, construction, or engineering project management (minimum 10 years).
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Proficiency in surveying software (Trimble Business Centre and 12D) and modern data collection methods.
Qualifications
• Relevant diploma or tertiary qualification required.
• Current Australian driver's license.
