Degree advanced Diploma or Diploma in hospitality or management or both. Qualifications will be looked at alongside experience.

Essential Skills
The candidate filling the position will be expected to have the following skills:
We are looking for a motivated person to treat their cafe as their own. You hire your own staff, 4 day week roster (time permitted), every hour you work paid for, Head Office support, Team environment and ongoing support when you need it.

Main Tasks
The successful applicant will have the ability to do the following
Organises and controls the operations Lawleys cafe
Develop action plans for the team to meet operational and organizational objectives
managing and organising day to day operations of Lawleys Cafe
planning and organising special functions as in Mother’s Day, Christmas etc.
planning menus in consultation with Chefs, Cooks and Directors agreeing and managing budgets for the food side of the cafe
arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget overseeing stock levels and the ordering of supplies for the cafe, coordinate with vendors and order supplies
assist in recruiting and appointing new team members have good interview techniques
Overseeing open and close procedures and financial transactions with staff and teaching procedures
ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines and ensuring cafe is always clean, functional and of suitable appearance
Teaching and training staff how to deal with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and ensuring all complaints are dealt with by staff
Assign rules and responsibilities to employees for operational effectiveness
Identify and Address issues in cafe performance
Monitor and manage Café staff by regularly conducting performance issues providing feedback and setting goals to improve performance
Develop strategies and operational plans managing execution and measuring café results
selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff ect
may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
be in charge of preparing weekly roster while considering multi-tasking training
Take staff meetings and continue to better procedures as the industry is dynamic
Deal with customer complaints delivering exceptional customer service
