What we're looking for
Arisit Pty Ltd are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Accountant to join our team on a full time parental leave contract.
This pivotal role reports to the Financial Controller and is responsible for the overall financial integrity of the organisation.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will involve:
- Preparation of monthly management reports (including Half Year and Full Year Management Pack - Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation and providing monthly reports to management including bank reconciliation and prepayment schedule
- Manage and maintain the group Fixed Assets Register (FAR) to ensure compliance with Group policies and relevant accounting standard
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the Financial Controller and National Warehouse Manager including assessment on leases, depreciation, payroll related
- Preparation of GST and FBT returns for external reporting purposes
- Maintenance of general ledgers (ERP), including end of month closing (AP, AR and Stock).
- Provide support and guidance to accounts receivable and payable (Operations Lead) in managing and closing debtors and creditors ledger including accounts receivable daily payment reconciliations, closing end of month balances and resolving billing issues
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial statements to ensure compliance with Australian laws and regulations
- Liase with the external and internal auditors for year-end audit and the Group reporting
- Assist with ad-hoc projects ie. improvement of Business Central system with Shopify, Pro-forma system and other integrations
- Sound knowledge of payroll using internal systems, monthly payroll tax lodgments and preparation of payroll tax returns
- Support the finance team as and when required
Skills and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards it)
- Relevant industry experience (3-4 years in financial/management accounting role)

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience of working collaboratively
