About the role:
Bangalow Bowlo, located in the picturesque town of Bangalow, in Northern NSW hinterland, has a rich history dating back several decades and is an essential part of the community's social fabric.
We are looking for that exceptional someone who will have a passion in delivering high quality food to our diners and who will be able to work in a fast-paced and team-orientated work environment. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of high quality dishes, contributing new ideas to the menu, ensuring that stock rotation is efficiently managed, maintaining clean and orderly work spaces, and monitoring portion and quality control.
Joining The Bowlo Bangalow means you are part of Norths Collective which includes Norths Cammeray, The Greens North Sydney, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Verandah Beecroft and Seagulls Tweed Heads.
Your Key Priorities will be to:
- Food preparation, cooking, presentation of food and stock control
- Contributing to a strong team focus
- Assume some responsibility in the kitchen including ordering, compliance and general cleanliness
- Hygiene and food safety of the highest level in accordance with food safety guidelines and club policies and procedures
- Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders
- Actively driving and supporting a range of Work, Health and Safety Compliance activities
The Candidate:
- Experience in plating and presenting dishes in a restaurant style setting
- Understanding of safe food handling and HACCP
- Knowledge in food quality control
- Passion for creating dishes, recipes and assist with menu changes.
- Flexibility and available to work a 7 day, rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- Understanding strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation
