Cultural heritage professional required (archaeologist, anthropologist or similar) to work with Aboriginal heritage and people, manage projects, undertake public engagements, provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders, deliver legislative and heritage training, undertake investigations and compliance.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
Tertiary qualifications in archaeology, anthropology and/or a related cultural heritage discipline or an Aboriginal person with knowledge and experience in identifying and recording Aboriginal cultural heritage in South Australia
