The role
Regulatory change management is the process of anticipating, capturing, and implementing regulatory changes across an enterprise. The Regulatory Change Manager is responsible for ensuring the HUB24 Group maintains robust procedures to consistently meet legislative and regulatory obligations. As a key member of the Risk & Compliance team, this role contributes significantly to managing and reducing regulatory compliance risks across the organisation.
This position involves providing expert risk and compliance guidance to the business, leading the identification and impact assessment of regulatory changes, coordinating change readiness initiatives, overseeing implementation reviews, and ensuring strong governance of regulatory change management across the HUB24 Group. The role also requires extensive collaboration with various business units.Key responsibilities
- Maintaining the overall Regulatory Change program plan, defining key milestones and critical path, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Risk & Compliance Regulatory Change process.
- Overseeing and coordinating regulatory change business responses, including business line change programs and actions, including structuring, and assembling necessary regulatory change implementation projects.
- Leading the governance and coordination of regulatory change management activities for the HUB24 Group.
- Developing and implementing systems and processes for the efficient and routine identification of regulatory change potentially impacting the HUB24 Group.
- Identifying, analysing, and managing regulatory issues and risks that arise from the HUB24 Group’s business operations and activities to ensure that issues and risks are addressed and appropriately managed and mitigated.
- Proactively identifying gaps and corrective actions that are required to maintain an effective compliance program for the HUB24 Group.
- Defining and completing regulatory change related compliance assessments including Privacy Impact Assessments.
- Designing and implementing a repeatable and robust regulatory change impact analysis process.
- Performing post implementation reviews for significant regulatory change programs and provide analysis and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, or business (legal qualification highly desirable).
- Minimum 3-5 years compliance experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a regulatory change management role with an Australian financial services institution, preferably within wealth management.
- Experience in the regulation of IDPS/ Managed Investment Schemes, MDAs, Wraps/Platforms, and Superannuation products or platforms - Highly desired
- Excellent knowledge of and subject matter expertise in the legal and regulatory regimes applicable to ASX listed entities, and financial services entities (including Australian Financial Services Licensees) is essential. This includes the Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Privacy Act, Australian Privacy Principles, Australian Consumer Law, and Superannuation (Industry Supervision) Act as well as ASIC and APRA regulatory Standards and Guides and reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage with management, business, and other team members.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret information, produce accurate work, prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven project management/delivery experience and the ability to drive change.
- Ability to work autonomously but also within a close team environment
