Description:

Are you a seasoned procurement professional with a flair for sourcing unique, high-quality products from around the globe? Do you thrive in a fast-paced ecommerce environment and have the leadership skills to guide a warehouse and distribution team? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Our client is a dynamic and growing ecommerce business specialising in high-end gifts and hampers that express a sense of appreciation, joy and delight to recipients, and provide a standard of quality that customers have come to depend on.
With an expanding product range and a commitment to exceptional service, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on buying manager, to oversee all buying requirements locally and internationally, inventory control, and distribution management. As a small but growing business, your “allrounder” mindset will be well placed in leading a passionate team excited for the next evolution of the business.
You’ll play a pivotal role in driving product selection and sourcing, and contribute ideas to the growth plans and strategic direction of the business. You’ll ensure the right products are on hand, at the right time, and at the right price—while maintaining the high quality for which the brand is known. You’ll lead and support the warehouse and distribution area to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities including sourcing, supplier negotiations, and order placement.
  • Manage international sourcing and develop strong relationships with global suppliers.
  • Oversee inventory systems, monitor stock levels, and ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to forecast demand and trends.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfilment.
  • Lead, coach, and support staff within the warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Maintain meticulous records, manage purchasing documentation, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, supplier improvements, and process efficiencies.
About You
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar buying/procurement role within an ecommerce or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management systems.
  • Proven success in international product sourcing and supplier negotiation.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills—experience in overseeing warehouse operations is key.
  • A commercial mindset with a passion for high-quality products and customer satisfaction.
  • Proficient in MS Office and inventory management tools (e.g., Cin7 or similar).
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of a creative and customer-centric business that brings joy to many.
  • Work in a collaborative and energetic environment.
  • Opportunity to influence and shape the buying strategy.
  • Great team culture passionate about the brand and growth plans.
