About the Role

The Test Engineer plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of our product, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for executing comprehensive testing activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing process.

We are looking for someone to join us part time, with the flexibility to structure your own hours. You will ideally be working 30 hours a week which could be 4 full days or over 5 days to give you the work life balance that works for you and your family! .

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of the Schoolbox product.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance and usability testing.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of test results and identify and report defects.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of test environments, test data, and test automation frameworks.

About You

  • You will have experience as a Test Engineer focused on software testing and quality assurance.
  • You will have experience in test automation frameworks and tools, such as Codeception, Browerstack.
  • You will have experience using Linux
  • You will have strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and best practices.
  • You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • You will be proficient in test management, defect tracking and documentation systems, such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub.
  • You will have an understanding of CI/CD principles.
  • An International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or similar certification is advantageous.
