This exciting opportunity will suit an enthusiastic leader who has strong interpersonal skills, the ability to quality assure curriculum, build staff capabilities and support staff to improve students' numeracy outcomes.
This is a temporary full-time position for a period of 12 months, with possible extension.

Located on Gudjal country, in the heart of the historic gold-mining town, Charters Towers State High School has been proudly serving our rural community for over 100 years. About The Role
As the Head of Department - Mathematics / Science, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Lead the curriculum focus and school department in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.Be future-oriented and strategic.Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff. Manage the human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources of the school department to achieve goals.
