Our client is a leading apparel retailer with both brick and mortar and a strong eCommerce presence, that is passionate about bringing on-trend and value-focused product ranges to their customer.
The Senior Merchandise Planner will work closely with the Head of Merchandise Planning, leading a team of 2 and managing their own categories. to elevate our planning processes and drive them to the next level. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end planning cycle, from developing category strategies to overseeing allocations across their 200-store network, including online, retail, and outlet stores.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage Open-to-Buy, markdown strategies and inventory plans to achieve sales, margin, and profit goals.
- Work together on seasonal reviews and create forward-thinking merchandise plans.
- Maximise stock allocation and replenishment across all channels.
- Focus on core and repeat lines
- Produce detailed weekly trade reports, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements.
- Analyse data to unlock full sales potential.
- Work closely with logistics and distribution teams to forecast and manage inventory flow.
- Continuously improve planning processes to enhance efficiency and profitability, while maintaining momentum and productivity.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role, apparel experience essential
- Advanced Excel skills
- Stellar communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders
- Commercial acumen with a trade focused approach
