As a Merchandise Planner, you will drive the success of our client's iconic Australian brand by leading the execution and monitoring of their Merchandise Planning and Inventory Strategy, ensuring the perfect product range is always available.Your Impact:
- Strategic Inventory Management: Take ownership of the entire inventory lifecycle - from budget planning and OTB management to allocation management and replenishment.
- Sales and Margin Optimisation: Drive sales and margin targets by meticulously preparing, reviewing, and executing budget and OTB plans, and by implementing effective promotional and markdown strategies.
- Forecasting: Lead the forecast review process in partnership with Buying teams, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks to achieve budget goals.
- Assortment Planning & Execution: Build and manage compelling assortment plans aligned with our strategic vision, ensuring financial accountability and localised opportunities.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct thorough pre and post seasonal reviews, analysing market opportunities and overseeing style and SKU count analysis.
- Retail Support: Visit stores and warehouses to provide support and address sales and stock-related issues.
- Retail planning experience and a proven track record of achieving sales and margin targets.
- Demonstrates strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of industry trends.
- Builds strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Is deadline-driven, results-oriented, and possesses exceptional numerical and analytical skills.
- Is proficient in advanced Excel and best-in-class merchandise planning applications.
