About your new job
Working in a busy environment the role would suit a highly experienced Payroll Officer who can work in end to end a capacity.
- Managing weekly payrolls for approximately 1500 employees within a team environment
- Handling and resolving payroll queries and managing the query inbox
- Processing payroll adjustments – ad-hoc manual payments
- Setting up new starters
- Process termination payments
- Reconcile workers compensation
- Updating employee details and changes
- Month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Assist the Payroll manager with ongoing projects in relation to system/process/ procedure improvement as required.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have exposure in the following:
- A proven track record in the area of payroll management – ideally within a full function/end-to-end capability
- Knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law and interpreting Awards & EAs
- Previous experience in high-volume payroll processing
- Exposure to large payroll and time & attendance systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with relevant departments
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
