Shell House, located in Sydney CBD, is searching for an experienced Sous Chef to join their team.About the role
- Multifaceted venue with a strong Restaurant focus
- Deliver exceptional food and service, ensuring a high standard of consistency and quality
- Designing and implementing new menu concepts that respond to the needs and tastes of target markets
- Managing seasonal menu changes
- Ensuring that food costs and wages are meeting budget
- Conducting internal audits and remedying any issues of non-compliance or poor performance, enforcing stock management policies and procedures
- End to end recruitment for senior chefs, performance management, training and development, succession planning for kitchen team
About you
- At least 2 years's experience at a Sous Chef level
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multifaceted kitchen operations
- Previously researched, designed and implemented menus into a casual dining to fine dining establishment
- Previous experience in management of stock, wages and budgets
- A natural team player and experience in building high performance teams
- Passion for learning and love for beautiful ingredients and food innovation
