We are currently seeking an experienced ICT Manager to step into a vital interim position, providing stability and leadership while our client recruits for the permanent role.This is an exciting opportunity to make an immediate impact, ensuring continuity, service excellence and oversight of the ICT operations during a transitional period.
The ICT Manager will lead and oversee the delivery of high-quality ICT services within this vibrant College. This pivotal role ensures the smooth and effective operation of ICT infrastructure, service delivery, and support, enabling outstanding outcomes across teaching, learning, and administration.
Reporting to the CIO and working in close collaboration with the College leadership, you will drive the College’s ICT strategy, ensuring that systems, people, and processes align with their long-term vision and deliver exceptional value to staff, students, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Partner with the CIO to execute the College’s ICT strategy and vision.
- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and review of the ICT Strategic Plan.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and CIO on opportunities for ICT growth and improvement.
- Inspire and manage ICT team to deliver outstanding support and innovation.
- Champion a customer-focused ICT culture that supports effective teaching, learning, and administration.
- Oversee the reliability and security of infrastructure, ensuring high system availability and data integrity.
- Establish and maintain ICT standards, ensuring compliance with industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate on ICT budgeting and procurement, ensuring cost-effective and future-ready investments.
- Manage third-party vendors and service contracts effectively.
- Ensure the College remains protected against ICT-related risks and complies with statutory obligations.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk management plans and registers.
- Stay current with ICT regulations and best practices and ensure policy alignment.
- Lead the implementation of ICT policies and practices that support safety, privacy, and security.
- Lead, support, and develop ICT staff, ensuring performance aligns with College values and goals.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the ICT team.
- Work closely with HR and leadership in recruitment, onboarding, and development of ICT personnel.
- Stay across ICT trends and developments, particularly within the education sector.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the College including:
- Principal, Director of Corporate Services, Operations Manager, CIO, SLT
- College staff, students, parents, and ICT teams across schools
- A degree in ICT, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Proven experience in managing ICT systems and service delivery.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of ICT trends, systems, and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic educational environment.
- Alignment with the values and vision of the College and wider group.
