EOI – Senior Department Liaison Officer (Environment Officer Class11) – Minister Sharpe’s Office
- Temporary full-time opportunity for 6 to 11 months
- Commencing April 2025
- Location: Sydney CBD
- Starting Salary $139,823 + Super and Leave loading
An opportunity exists for a 6 to 11 month assignment to the role of Senior Department Liaison Officer (Sr DLO) in the Office of the Minister for Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Heritage. This is an excellent opportunity to gain a greater insight into the operations of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) at the highest level, as well as understand the workings of a Minister’s office and how decisions are made.
The secondee to this position will play an important role in assisting with the development and delivery of key government priorities. The role requires the ability to prioritise requests, manage workloads and exercise independent sound judgment in an environment of tight timelines and high volumes, as well as supporting effective communications in both directions between the Minister’s office and DCCEEW, including but not limited to facilitating the progression of briefing documents, cabinet documents, parliamentary matters, legislation, event packages, policy advice, and correspondence. This position will be available for immediate start.
The position is located at 52 Martin Place. The position reports to the Director Ministerial Services Branch in the Department but for practical reasons reports to the Chief of Staff on a daily basis.
