THE ROLE:
We are seeking a Corporate Senior Procurement Officer to join our team.
The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring the sourcing and supply of materials, equipment, and services align with project requirements, budgets, and timelines. This role involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with commercial terms and conditions while mitigating risks and optimising costs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company and project requirements.

Support the development of procurement frameworks and best practices.

Collaborate with department heads to determine procurement needs.

Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.

Conduct tendering, bid analysis, and negotiations to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.

Familiarity with Australian construction contracts.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the rail or transportation industry.

Demonstrated experience on large-scale construction projects – specific to logistics and/or materials control.

Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience in the construction or infrastructure industry. A commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably COINS).
