The Role
As our Senior Stakeholder Engagement Advisor, you will be responsible for designing, and delivering engagement plans as well and providing high level advice to facilitate quality stakeholder engagement activities. You will work on a range of projects for our maritime facilities across the state..
This position will support our project teams during all phases of the projects, determining relevant stakeholder relationships and appropriate engagement activities. You will liaise with a variety of stakeholders throughout the state including government agencies, local government, consultants, and community groups and provide engagement advice to the broader teams.
We are looking for an experienced and energetic professional with a passion for stakeholder relations who can guide and support DoT Maritime’s obligations and operational requirements in alignment with the Stakeholder Engagement Framework.
With excellent relationship management skills, you will enjoy dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to collaborate professionally with stakeholders as well as the internal project and communications teams.
The ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment, be self-motivated and proactive are important requirements of this role.

There is currently one (1) fixed term part time position (15hr p/wk can be taken over 2 or 3 days max. must include Thursday & Friday) available for immediate filling, with the possibility of extension(s) or permanency.

About you
- Experience working in project planning or delivery for Government in communications, stakeholder engagement, community relations or any related field.
- Experience with developing and implementing stakeholder plans, engagement activities, and strategies.
- Ability to proactively engage and provide advice on stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level with a range of stakeholders including industry and government agencies.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with communities and other stakeholders.
- Ability to meet deadlines, maintain flexibility and adapt to changing project needs.
