We have an opportunity for a senior lawyer to join our dedicated Personal Injury team.
About the role
We are seeking a senior lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ post admission experience. The role will involve advising clients on:
• Motor Vehicle Accidents;
• Workers’ Compensation;
• Criminal Injuries Compensation; and
• Public Liability.
You will assist clients to negotiate a complex process with the aim of achieving a settlement in a short time frame such that all parties can move quickly and suffer minimal financial impact. Where negotiations fail to resolve a claim you will provide representation for your client in Court proceedings.
You will assist with all aspects of the compensation process, including:
• Assessing right to claim;
• Submission of Initial Claims;
• Communication with insurers, doctors, Police, Barristers, and others involved;
• Claims for ongoing support and immediate payments;
• Assessment of injuries by medical experts;
• Assessment of monetary value of damages;
• Settlement negotiation; and
• Court representation.
About you
This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to manage your time effectively, work independently, and to produce accurate work. It also requires a motivated, self-driven individual who enjoys working independently, but also sees the value of working in a close-knit team.
Please note this is a full-time role.
