About the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (the NDIS Commission) is an independent agency established on 1 July 2018 to improve the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. The Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.
The NDIS Commission works with people with disability, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), governments and the sector who together deliver the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

About the Planning, Performance and Delivery Branch
The Planning, Performance and Delivery (PPD) Branch is responsible for supporting the strategic agenda of the NDIS Commission, including through the delivery of strong governance and secretariat and the enterprise business cycle. The Branch collaborates with other areas of the Commission on whole-of-Commission initiatives and works to establish coherent and consistent approaches to the development, co-ordination, delivery, reporting and evaluation of activities.
About the Role
Do you have a passion for corporate planning, strategy, and performance reporting as a way to drive and deliver outcomes and the desire to improve the quality and safety of NDIS services and supports. The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS Commission) is seeking an APS 6 Senior Planning and Performance Officer, to join the Planning, Performance and Delivery Branch.
Duties of the role
- Reporting to the Assistant Director, Planning and Performance, the APS 6 Senior Planning and Performance Officer will support a range of activities across the NDIS Commission, including the following key duties:
- Supporting the NDIS Commission to achieve goals and business objectives through the implementation of the Planning and Performance Framework and drive quality improvement in line with the Commonwealth Performance Framework and PGPA Act.
- Assisting in delivering performance information for Portfolio Budget Statements, Corporate Plan, Annual Performance Statement, Annual Report and other complex high profile corporate documents in collaboration.
- Working across the organisation to assist in embedding quality and relevant performance reporting and data collection processes, as well as providing insightful findings.

- Demonstrates experience in developing corporate documents and performance measures, quarterly performance reports, and relevant reporting.
- Ability to lead projects and create visualisation and reports for requested projects.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor communication style and language.
