Waratah-Wynyard Council have an exciting opportunity available for a People & Safety Support Officer to kickstart their career in a Human Resources or Work Health & Safety traineeship.

Based in Wynyard, this traineeship provides hands-on experience in HR administration, workplace safety and employee support while completing a nationally recognised qualification. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in a supportive team environment.

This is a temporary full-time position working 75 hours over a 9-day fortnight.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A keen interest in HR, WHS or business administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
