The award-winning Highway Hotel is looking for a dedicated Functions Supervisor / Coordinator to join the Events team. This is an opportunity for a career-driven individual looking to take that next step in running and delivering seamless Functions & Events.
The Highway Hotel is one part of the Palmer Hospitality Group, with a portfolio of hospitality assets, including: 2KW Bar & Restaurant, Warradale Hotel, Morphett Arms Hotel, AGSA_eats, Paloma Bar & Pantry, arkhé (Norwood) & Clink at Tintara.
The Role
The Highway Hotel has a large focus on Events ranging from cocktail parties and sit down dinner events, to corporate conferences, functions and anything that our clients desire.
Working with a dedicated and experienced team, the successful applicant:
- Has previous experience in running functions, along with food and bar service
- Leadership/Delegation skills
- Self-motivated, works well without direct supervision
- Has a strong work ethic, ability to multitask and willingness to learn
- Superior attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Tech Savvy – able to use and understand audio visual systems
- Experience in setting up and packing down functions and events an advantage
- Be available across a 7-day roster including nights and weekends
- Professional and well presented
- Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with all existing and potential clients
- Report directly to the Functions Manager and Venue Manager
Full time position available with a competitive salary negotiable based on experience, plus the PHG staff benefit loyalty program.
