Seeking an experienced change communications expert, passionate about supporting the implementation of projects by developing and implementing best practice communications plans. Join a dynamic and dedicated team as the Change Communications Lead and play a pivotal role in transformational change and project delivery.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Chane Communications Lead to join a high-profile Government Agency. The Chance Communications Lead will play a critical role in developing, designing, and implementing communications plans that support the successful delivery of key projects.
Drive the implementation of contemporary, best practice communication strategies and engagement tactics to ensure the smooth transition and long-term success of new ways of working within the environment.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead communication efforts that align with strategic project milestones and objectives, working closely with Project Managers, Change Leads, and senior leadership to support the Agency's goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and execute communication strategies to support various project initiatives.
- Collaborate with Project Leadership to implement effective communication management methodologies, building change resilience and enhancing business readiness.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships across the Agency, managing expectations and supporting the change process.
- Actively communicate and advocate for the agency's reform agenda, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to key stakeholders.
- Design and implement targeted communication and engagement strategies that inform and engage stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advise senior leaders on project progress, risks, and the effectiveness of communications efforts.
- Ensure communication initiatives align with the Agency's overall change management framework.
About you:
- Proven ability to advise senior leaders on project progress, risks, and communication needs.
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering communication and engagement strategies in a large-scale project environment.
- Expertise in contemporary communication and stakeholder engagement frameworks and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of project management and change management principles.
- Ability to quickly grasp the nuances of business changes and effectively communicate them to a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing tailored communication materials for a variety of stakeholders, from leadership to front-line staff.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create diverse collateral such as reports, presentations, and formal documents.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A degree or professional qualifications in Communications, Change Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field is highly regarded.
- A qualification in graphic design is also highly desirable.
- Some travel may be required to different Agency sites.
- Must be willing to undertake a National Police Check
