Several roles are available at SAPOL within the following Programs:

The SAPOL Firearms Program (SAFP) comprises a set of technical and business focused projects which aims to improve SAPOL and community safety. The program will digitise firearm related services to the community and implement a new firearm register to support SAPOLs Firearms Branch (FAB). The program will also collaborate with other state, territory, and commonwealth law enforcement jurisdictions as part of national efforts to standardise firearms information and improve access to firearms information for law enforcement jurisdictions nationwide, through the implementation of a National Firearms Register (NFR).

The Mobile Workforce Program (MWP) which will drive SAPOL towards our goal of Technology Enabled Policing. This role will suit individuals who are familiar with project methodologies, who are passionate about change management and who demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Program Change Lead, these exciting roles operate within the Mobility Portfolio’s Organisational Change Management team

The Business Change Analyst is responsible for undertaking and coordinating a complex range of change management functions that ensure the successful adoption of new business systems and processes within SAPOL as well as support the introduction of a digital firearms related services to the South Australian community. This includes working closely with individuals and teams across SAPOL to prepare and support them with changes associated with implementation of new or improved systems and technology. The role will work collaboratively with IS&T staff to ensure successful project implementation.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering change management planning, initiatives / projects in a complex environment with a focus on adoption, efficiency gains and cultural and behavioural change.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and significant competence in applying contemporary change management frameworks, change management principles, methodologies and tools.

  • Demonstrated high level of analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to think laterally and conceptually.

  • Proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with people at all levels, verbally, in writing and presentations, including preparing high quality reports and documents that clearly explain complex technical information.

  • Demonstrated ability to organise workloads effectively in a climate of competing priorities to achieve agreed outcomes and work in a team environment on complex tasks.

  • Able to assess and lead stakeholder engagement, current/future state impacts, change readiness assessments and measure change sustainability across a large program of work.

  • Experience developing and implementing communication and training materials.

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.

  • Demonstrated ability to support and engage senior leaders, coaching project resources and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction and exercise a significant level of responsibility, decision making, judgement and delegated authority in resolving complex problems in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.

  • The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.

  • Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.

  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.

Salary


ASO6 - $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
