The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Business Coordinator to be part of our Ministers Office Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Business Coordinator provides executive, administrative and secretarial support as well as advice to the Minister on government policy, Cabinet, statutory requirements and cross-issues with other portfolios. The role liaises with the Department, other Government Agencies, Ministers, Members of Parliament and relevant organisations and officials to support projects, research and briefings.
The role is responsible for the researching, coordinating and processing of Freedom Information requests.
The role contributes to the efficient and effective operational management of the Minister’s Office relating to Ministerial correspondence, administration and Cabinet operations. The Business Coordinator provides a high level of support to the Office Manager by contributing to the efficient and effective performance and administration of the Ministerial Office.

Special Conditions
• Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
• Opportunity up to March 2026.
• Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Requirements
• Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
• Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
• Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
• You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
