About the Role:
As a Payroll & Admin Assistant, you will support the Payroll Manager with end-to-end payroll processing and provide central administration support for the HR function. Your key responsibilities will include:

Payroll:
- Assist the Payroll Manager with fortnightly payroll processing
- Address payroll-related enquiries from employees
- Ensure employee files are accurate and up-to-date
- Complete onboarding checks, including visas and police checks
- Support the offboarding process
- Generate clear and accurate payroll reports
- Support the recruitment process, including communication, interview scheduling, and reference checks
- Maintain accurate employee data in HR systems
- Coordinate meetings and events, including venue bookings and catering
- Keep concise and efficient records for the P&C team
- Manage the HR intranet, including updates and resources
- Process P&C invoices for approval
- Experience with Payroll, various awards, penalties and conditions (essential).
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Superior written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to draft process documentation and follow procedures
- Strong prioritisation skills, especially during busy periods
- Motivated to improve processes while maintaining accuracy
- Willingness to contribute to a range of P&C initiatives
- Advanced computer skills, including database management
- Relevant HR qualifications are desirable
