NXT GIG is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. In this important role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a medical setting, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include managing patient check-ins and check-outs, scheduling appointments, handling medical records, and assisting with billing and insurance verification. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, providing a courteous and professional introduction to the office
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar
  • Handle incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members
  • Maintain and update patient records in accordance with confidentiality regulations
  • Assist with insurance verification and process billing information
  • Support medical staff with administrative tasks as needed to enhance patient care


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certification in medical office administration is a plus
  • Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role in a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
