The role
The purpose of this position is to be a key member of the ODDG providing high level support and advice to the Deputy Director-General and liaising with senior management, the Minister's Office, senior executives in the public and private sectors and clients to facilitate administrative and executive matters relating to the ODDG.
The successful person
You will have:
- Proven ability and experience in effectively managing and prioritising the administrative functions and associated activities for Executive staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow-up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and written communication skills which reflect the ability to liaise effectively, diplomatically and discretely with all elements, at all levels of Queensland Health, other government and non-government agencies, community organisations and members of the public.
- Proven effective consultative, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
- Proven ability to utilise a high degree of initiative, decision making skills and reliability in operating independently with minimal guidance and direction.
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in contemporary computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, Email and Calendar Applications MS Outlook and Internet Applications. Advanced knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Queensland Health computer software applications.
- Knowledge of, ability to apply and proven commitment to Queensland Health's policies relating to Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination, Code of Conduct and contemporary Human Resource practices. Include skills, knowledge, qualifications, technical or specialist capabilities (Max 4).
