About the role:The purpose of the role is to contribute to the provision of policy advice to the Digital Health Branch and health services on matters pertaining to the Mental Health and Wellbeing Client Management System.
The role will undertake high-quality research and analysis of policy development and projects that support the department's reforms in respect of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
Working in a multidisciplinary team, the Senior Policy Officer, will play a key role in the development and delivery of policy initiatives, plans and frameworks that support the delivery of the department's Digital Health roadmap and specifically within the Digital Mental Health Team delivering the MHWCMS project. Additionally, stakeholder engagement, collaboration with subject matter experts, and effective communication of policy objectives will be crucial aspects of this role.

Accountabilities:
* Operate within increased level of autonomy and accountability in delivering within broad strategic directions.
* Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects (or deliverables), ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.
* Prepare or assist in preparation of clear, concise, accurate written documentation including briefs, reports, options papers, policy documents and presentations for a range of stakeholders, including clinical and technical specialists.

Provide advice to stakeholders pertaining to development and implementation of policy and related matters to achieve overall business objectives.
About you:
* A relevant tertiary qualification in a healthcare, business, or government related field (public policy, law) is desirable.
* Prior involvement in large scale digital or IT initiatives, ideally involving detailed policy development and implementation within Victorian public health services.
* Knowledge and experience of legal frameworks in health care and demonstrable experience in interpretation of legislation to provide outcomes.
