About the Role

As the Supplier Relationship Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing, developing, and strengthening collaborative relationships with our key strategic suppliers. You will act as a coordinator and facilitator between Sydney Water and its strategic suppliers, connecting stakeholders from both sides to resolve critical issues, identify opportunities for mutual growth, and drive efficiency improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continue to develop and steer a comprehensive SRM program to enhance delivery performance and drive innovation.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including CEOs and CPOs of major suppliers, as well as EGMs and HoBs within Sydney Water.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of Tier 1 suppliers to the SRM program and oversee the governance of supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with Sydney Water's strategic objectives and market demands.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced expertise in Supplier Relationship Management and Stakeholder Management.
  • Strong motivational leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Intermediate business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in process improvement and strategic procurement.
